Why I Participate

My Personal Cause is Described below with my Interests: At this moment I am involved with Causecast.org for Two Reasons: 1) To Raise Funds for our Cause of Documenting China (PRC) Monuments & Cultures, and (2) because I think it is a promising and interesting website with great possibilities. It all started when Ryan Scott ran into my Twit-Line on Twitter (well, he found me..). He seems a positive type guy who shares some of the same passions as I do (that being adventurous type stuff & inovative "smart" projects), so - since he supported our Cause, brought along a smiley face plus some great ideas, plus gave me a Tip to Join, I am responding in Kind. Thanks Ryan, love to be "dragged" into this....

About Me

Throughout my Life (so far) I have always been more interested in Cooperation than in Competition. I am someone who analyses patterns and responds to their predictions .... (Vague? Not at all, just hang out with me and you'll find out what I mean) Its the coolest thing !

My Interest

I am interested in Plenty of Things, however I am currently active in Photography, Online Publishing and Writing. I am the owner/founder of my own Internet Company, DrBen.Net, who's main Online "Product" is The China Report, a historically oriented Travel website offering plenty of Maps, 10.000's of high quality digital photos and a weekly growing "Library" of In-Depth Backgrounds and more on Chinese subjects. The website is intended to promote (1) intercultural understanding between the Chinese-Asian Spheres and other Cultural Spheres, while also (2) preserving China's Monuments & History in digital photos as well as (3) providing a practical, detailed and technologically advanced Travel Guide on China. Noteably-eventhough DrBen.Net is engaged among things in the E-sales of Books & Documentaries,our Goals are not strictly Commercial, on the Contrary. Our products therefor mainly offer any visitor viewer the added service of access to additional sources, and any proceeds are merely used to further our above Goals. The China Report financially supports a (partially) Chinese Native Staff, (of University Students) all of whom are proud to help promote their own Culture & History, while being able to learn E-Commerce, E-Publishing & Practice various internet technology related skills. My Person: My main leisure activities are joking about, swimming, reading and watching movies, the latter of which becomes more of a challenge with the years. I have limited Time and so many movies seem to not bring anything new. I would do more if I wasn't so busy to realize my rather tall ambitions !! People I admire are hard to List here, since most of them are already Diseased. To name a few: Sir Winston Churchill, James Bertram (Journalist), Edgar Snow, Ma Haide aka George Hatem Md, Sir Fitzroy McLean (Diplomat, Spy, Co-Founder SAS, special envoy in Yugoslavia), Sven Hedin (International Explorer in China & Central Asia), Heinrich Harrer (German Mountaineer turned Writer), Joseph Needham (UNESCO co-founder, British Scientist + Diplomat), Michael Jackson, etc etc. Other interests: Astronomy and Cosmology, History, China-Culture-History-current news & issues & Related Subjects, Alpha Science in General, , Wildlife & Nature, Internet Technology, the Intelligence World versus Terrorism and Organized Crime, Traveling, Diplomacy & International Relations.
